“StartUp” explores the launch of GenCoin, a potentially revolutionary idea for an unregulated digital currency. Set in Miami, the story focuses on the deadly tech war that ignites around the creation of the cryptocurrency. It also stars Martin Freeman, Edi Gathegi and Otmara Marrero.
You can watch all 10 episodes of “StartUp” starting on September 6, 2016. Watch here:

Peace out y'all! Thanks for the questions! I had fun! Watch Startup September 6th on Crackle!
Do you still celebrate Chrismukkah?
Every Easter
How's Summer Roberts?
She's doing alright. Blood pressure's a little high
You remember that time on the OC when your girlfriend dressed like Wonder Woman?
I have total recall of everything that's ever happened in my life
Have you heard of the podcast Start Up? How will their story (in season 1) compare to your show? How do you feel about the fact, that the ABC show that is based on it has to change its name because of you guys? How often do you get asked if your show is based on the podcast?
edit: I found out who you are, why'd you leave Lane?! You guys where perfect for each other!
Ha! I actually haven't heard about that at all! But I've been a part of so many projects that have had to change their name because of something else (happened to me two months ago) that I actually like it. Karmic payback
Adam, how how much fun was it to work as Ted in The League?
Such a funny, talented group of people. It was actually intimidating. But they're all very nice..
What has been your favorite moment on set?
I always enjoy that last special take. When you finally get it
Hey Adam! What kind of research did you do to prepare for the role and what's the most interesting thing you learned?
Cryptocurrency is such a huge concept. I read as much as I could. I think the fact that's there's no governing authority to it and it constantly evolves is trippy
Are you a regular reddit user?
Working on it
What was being on Colbert's show like? Do you get to choose where and when you plug your new show?
Colbert was awesome. I'm a huge fan so I was a little intimidated but he's such a nice guy he puts you at ease.
What drew you in to the script of "StartUp"?
Ben Keitai's voice. Very distinct. I love distinct voices
What was the hardest thing you did while filming?
The show is such a pressure cooker that I found the hardest part to be keeping my energy up to constantly play life and death stakes
I've always thought that if there's ever a movie about The Killers, you should play Brandon Flowers. Would you do it?
I'm probably getting too old to play him in his prime, but for you, sure
What is your favorite thing you learned while producing (and acting on) StartUp?
How good our freaking cast is
I really enjoyed watching you in the O.C, you had good onscreen chemistry with both Summer (Rachel Bilson) and Ryan (Ben McKenzie). Would you like to work with them again on a project and if yes, have there ever been talks about doing this?
Thanks! No talks, but who knows? Hopefully it'll be a long life
What was your take on the whole "Justice League: Mortal" situation? Can you describe what the flash suit looked like? Were you disappointed that it got canceled?
I loved the script, loved George, loved the actors. I wasn't happy it got cancelled but at the time I understood why. Although, after seeing (in Mad Max) what an amazing and cutting edge film maker George Miller still is, I bet the WB is wishing that they made it way back when.
'Starting a startup' has become the new 'starting a band' -- what about your new drama is going to set StartUp apart from everyone riding the trend?
Starting a startup is the only way startup up and coming startups. Startup?
What was your experience on the set of "Smiley Face" like? Also, cab you recommend a good book?
Anna was a talent and a blast. Good book? Trying to think of a stoner one for you... anything by Kurt Vonnegut or Hunter Thomson will do nicely.
What was it like working with Martin Freeman?
Awesome. He's so freewheeling and unhinged in this role that he kept everybody completely on their toes. Exciting.
Which is your favourite role of your career so far and why?
tough to say. It always tends to be the last one I did because it reflects my most up to date creative impulses.
Hello, Adam , hope you are doing well, when can we expect to see you back on network TV?
Thank you. Your guess is as good as mine. I have no real aversion to it.
How did you choose your daughter's name?
ouija
To what degree do you seek projects to work on vs projects seeking you? (this is more of a general question about how you work vs a loaded question with judgmental undertones about any one project)
Most of the work I do comes out of the blue. But I do have a few passion projects I'm trying desperately to get off the ground. Although, in a way, even those fell into my lap.
How much wood would a woodchuck Chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Also, Smileyface is hillarious, are you a big advocate for recreational Marijuana?
I'm high just from reading this. Advocate is probably too strong a word.. i just love it with all my heart and soul
Thanks for doing this AMA! My mind is swimming with memories of The OC. Great times.
What's your favorite thing about Leighton?
Too many to count. She'e the BEST
Would you rather fight 100 Martin Freeman size horses or one horse sized Martin Freeman?
I think you're reading too much into the Hobbit.
Is producing something you've been drawn to for a long time?
Yes, in that sometimes I like to talk about the project more than i like to perform it
What do you think of brodyquest?
I honestly don't know what it is, but I'm liking the sound of it.
Just checked out Brodyquest. Terrible! (That's a Danald Trump Tweet)
During your time filming The OC, which episode was your favorite to film?
Pilots are always exciting
If you could co-star with any actress/actor, who would it be and why?
Well, Meryl Streep is okay. She would still have to audition.
Have you ever considered creating a twitter account? You're doing great answering these questions. I bet your tweets would be very entertaining!
ha, thanks! I've considered it. I'm sure I'll dip my toe in before too long
You're a great actor. Can I be a cinematographer on the next film you direct?
Um, it would be pretty irresponsible for me to hire you without seeing your work. So you're hired!
How was it working with Edi and Martin??
How are they on set?
Both those guys are G's. love em
Was it hard to film away from home now when you have a daughter?
She travels :)
Have you ever thought about working with Leighton? ily
We have, we do, we will
white wheat or sourdough? home fries or hashbrowns? and how do you like your eggs? coffee black or with cream?
I will not be put into a box, sir! There is a time and place for all these foods. But normally coffee with cream. (heavy whipping cream no less)
