The Slamdance Film Festival is an annual film festival focused on emerging artists and low-budget independent films, created in 1995.

Stanton Moore is a funk, jazz and rock drummer reared in Metairie in Jefferson Parish in suburban New Orleans, Louisiana. Most widely known as a founding member of Galactic, Moore has also pursued a solo recording career and recorded with bands as diverse as jazz-funk keyboardist Robert Walter and heavy metal act Corrosion of Conformity.
